This is what happens when learners from Ormiston Beachcroft Academy collaborate with students from the University of West London.
The Beachcroft lunchroom was transformed into a vibrant performance space, where University of West London drama students brought Beachcroft learners’ ideas to life through a play blending puppetry, animation, and poetry.
Through powerful storytelling, the performance explored themes of the status quo, bias, and stereotypes, inviting the audience to reflect on these important topics. Beachcroft learners and staff were captivated by a play brimming with drama, passion, and energy.
For many learners, it was a rare opportunity to see their everyday space used in such an innovative way—demonstrating how storytelling can be a powerful tool for deep learning and engagement.
The day was a resounding success, proving that when an Alternative Provision like Ormiston Beachcroft partners with a Higher Education Institution such as the University of West London, the creative possibilities are truly limitless.
